Figured maybe the next version would be better. They didn’t even make keyboards or mouses to color match with it. Then it finally happened, and it was a $3000 trash can with low flash memory, an unswappable GPU, and no 4K Thunderbolt Display (they sold a $5000 Sharp display instead). Didn’t happen that year, and didn’t happen the year after. But the tower Macs didn’t have Thunderbolt ports and old USB speeds. I had an old iMac that I wanted to replace with a Mac Pro so I can swap parts instead of buying a new one every 3 years. You never know.īut ya, I’m worried it’s gonna be something not worth the wait, like the 2013 Mac Pro. My hope is that it'll be as good as an HP z8: powerful, expandable, reliable, and starting at around $5000 (and going up to $20K with options). So it will be coming out, my guess right around the WWDC in June 2019.
